Metalpoint is ideally suited for doing nudes. It's soft and mysterious, and wonderful for depicting bright light. The work is soft and sensual, warm and delightful and it glows as only metalpoint can.

FIGURATIVE

"Danielle" is gold metalpoint with ink stippling over parts of the gold. "Lou & the Babe" is the same.

WILDLIFE

"Freedom" was the first silver metalpoint piece I did in 2000 "It's the King" followed, but in gold. "Morning Sun" is a recent addition and uses airbrushed ink for the background shading.

STILL LIFE

I've wanted to do metalpoint with more precision than the nudes for some time. It's very difficult to get the kind of precise edges and contrasts with metalpoint due to the softness. This is my first effort, more will follow.

SPORTING ART

I've had a love affair going with baseball since I was a kid. Over the years I've done a few baseball art pieces like the two pictured here. I probably won't ever do prints of these because I just don't want to ever deal with the greed of MLB Properies again. Enjoy.
